Now it is time to groom your pup with a clipper.

Actually, you can do the haircut when your pup is laying down but normally the ideal position for starting clipping is when the dog is standing upright.

Thereafter setting the dog’s position you need to start clipping in the direction the hair grows.

Never start against the hair’s growth.

The strange weird lines may appear if you are shaving too fast and against the hair’s growth.

Therefore you must keep assuring to move the clipper slowly making the dog comfortable and avoiding any kind of odd hairstyle.

Once you know the hair growth direction, begin cutting from the neck and then slowly move down to the back area and then finally clip out the back legs.

Then as you are done with the neck and back-side, move on to the other side of the dog.

Sometimes the head of the clipper may become hot causing the metal warm-up which may result in the burning of your dog’s skin. Therefore during clipping switch off the clipper for a while and check its temperature on your hand’s back-side.

However as the clipper becomes cool, lift it up in your hands and just start down cutting hair again with a slow and steady speed.
